Dead blog is dead

I haven't posted anything on this blog in quite some time. Like most artists social media like Facebook and Instagram have taken over as far as most of my online art promotion goes. If anyone actually sees this post drop me a comment to let me know you're still out there!

Well, after 12 years of working in the trading card industry I've decided to do it myself! Siplon Studios first independent trading card release will be 'Freaky Faces' an old school monster card set. I've been thinking about doing something like this for years now and the timing just seemed right. The first promo card will be a giveaway at the Chicago Non-sport Card Show in April, and more information about when the Kickstarter will go live is coming soon!

3 Years... Wow!

I haven't posted an entry here in 3 damn years?! Honestly, I kind of thought this format had died considering most artists who once maintained a blogspot have seemed to go the same route I have. So much social media these days it gets overwhelming. I never really got much feedback here, so it became a ghost town pretty fast. I still do art as much as I can. Google @randysiplon to find most of my online hangouts these days if you're interested. Thanks!

Been almost a year?!

Guess I sort of left this blog in the dust. Here's a little something to breathe some life back into her.

2013: New Year, New Art, New Blog?

Haven't posted anything here in a while. I have a tumblr page http://randysiplon.tumblr.com/ , and I seem to get more of a response over there, so I might just switch over altogether because it becomes a pain to update the millions of social media outlets I am a part of. Seriously, it's ridiculous but it is a good way to get people to see your work, so I shouldn't complain too much. I do like blogger's easy to use and straightforward interface, so I will probably keep it going. Not sure yet.
